Marcia L. Moellring

Marcia is a founding member of Moellring & Ambler, LLC. She was admitted to the bar in 1996 in both Missouri and Illinois and admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in 2007. She is an accredited Veterans Advocate. She has been representing Veterans for over 17 years before the Veterans Benefits Administration, the Board of Veterans’ Appeals and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. She is member of the Missouri & Illinois State Bar Associations and the National Organization of Veterans Advocates.
Katie L. Ambler

Katie is a founding member of Moellring & Ambler, LLC. She is a University of Kansas Law School Graduate, J.D., admitted to bar in 2004 in Missouri and 2017 in Illinois, and has been admitted to practice before Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. She is also an Accredited Veterans Advocate and a member of the Tenth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, the Missouri Bar, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, and the National Organization of Veterans Advocates.
Julie Schuetz
Attorney at Law
Julie brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to Moellring & Ambler's clients, specializing in appellate work and advocacy. She began her career clerking for Justice Robert Cook of the Fourth District Illinois Appellate Court, where she honed her skills in legal analysis and appellate strategy. Her extensive appellate work includes representing disabled clients before the Federal District Courts in Illinois and Missouri, as well as at the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Eighth Circuits. Her passion for justice extends to serving Veterans and their families, ensuring they receive the support and advocacy they deserve.
Dylan Welker
Dylan is an Accredited Veterans Representative and provides research and development for veterans’ benefit cases. He has a B.A. from Missouri Southern State University and is a Law Office Support member of the National Organization of Veterans Advocates. As a case manager for the firm, Dylan writes appeals, helps veterans prepare for C&P exams, discusses rating decision outcomes and planning for next steps in the benefits process.
Gina Druffel
Gina has been with the team since April 2016, starting as receptionist and assisting with every aspect of the practice. Gina is often the first contact with a new veteran. Her family includes many veterans which gives her an inside understanding of the veteran community. Her assistance is invaluable in keeping the wheels of the office turning. She has a B.S. from Western Illinois University.
Megan Backs
Megan is a case manager for veteran's disability cases and is a law office support member of the National Organization of Veterans Advocates. She is passionate about managing appeal deadlines and speaks with veterans daily breaking down the claims process and discussing next steps. She has a B.A. from Quincy University.
Valerie Hernandez
Valerie aids with veteran's benefits cases, provides office support, and acts as occasional caretaker and treat-sneaker of office dogs, Louie and Theo. She is a case manager in training with leadership experience in retail management, support for a federal grant program and a local theatre troupe she founded.
Maggie Queen
Maggie is a part-time receptionist and support staff member who joined the team in 2024. She brings many years of experience from teaching and working for Mark Twain Corp of Engineers.
Louie
As office dog, Louie has been employed since February 2015. He is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen. He greets everyone who visits and does his best to make visitors feel welcome. He would love to have you visit.
Theo
Theo joined the team as office dog in 2023. He is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen and works to greet visitors before big brother Louie. He is excited to meet you.
