Working with Our VA Team

Our experienced VA disability attorneys and benefits advocacy team help veterans and their families navigate the complex compensation benefits appeal process.

Consultation: Reach out to Moellring & Ambler or give us a call. Our office will collect initial information about your military service and status of your VA compensation claims. If we are able to assist you, a free consultation will be scheduled with one of our accredited attorneys.

Claims Review: Determining the best strategy for each Veteran’s claims in large part depends on their history. A Veteran can agree to allow the attorney to review their claims file which includes service records, service treatment records, VA decisions and C&P exams as well as associated medical records or statements. After review, advice will be given and, if appropriate, the attorney and veteran will enter into an agreement for representation.

Evidence Development: In addition to the benefit of years of VA claims experience, we have the knowledge and connections to develop evidence needed to get your conditions service connected. Evidence includes medical records, statements in support of claim and independent medical opinions.

Appeals: Your VA attorney and benefits team is here to ensure your appeal deadlines are met and claim specific evidence is presented to VA in an appeal. Once an appeal is filed, we follow-up with the veteran after each new decision and strategize again if necessary. Some claims are straightforward, while others take years with incremental steps toward the ultimate goal of you being awarded the benefits you deserve. We strive to be with the Veteran every step of the way.

Fees: All fees are based on a contingency fee, a percentage of back benefits. There is never an attorney fee for filing a brand-new application and never a fee on future monthly benefits.

Representing Veterans

Moellring & Ambler focuses on representing Veterans before the Veterans Benefits Administration which provides compensation and pension benefits. This includes filing appeals at the agency level, also known as the Regional Office, and the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board). Additionally, the attorneys practice before the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (Court). If a Board appeal is denied, our office may appeal to the Court. Attorneys Marcia Moellring and Katie Ambler have been licensed with the Court since 2007 and accredited by the VA since 2008.
